The Liver Birds of Liverpool, UK are a registered chapter of the Red Hat Society.  Our Chapter ID Number is 79598.

We are the first and (so far) only chapter in Liverpool.  Our birthday is 20th June 2009.

Our aim is fun and friendship for ladies who have attained "a certain age".  We don't do anything except have fun!  We don't fund-raise, or aim to better ourselves in traditional ways, as we believe we have all been SO dutiful and SO busy for SO long that we deserve a break.

The Red Hat Society was created as a haven for unfettered happiness -making friends, chatting, laughing and having fun whilst dressed in red, purple, glitz and glamour.

NO RULES OK
The Red Hat Society is a DIS-organisation. There is only one rule – that we wear “the colours” whenever we do anything as Red Hatters – “purple on the shoulder and red on the head”.  Guests or friends are welcome – but only if they are willing to wear "the colours"!
